HOMES

I’ve worked on a variety of projects, each with its own unique challenges and rewards. From modernising a 1923 home while preserving its character, to transforming a gutted flat into a charming space with restored period features. Whatever the situation, each project reflects my design philosophy. I’ve tackled a large fixer-upper, reimagining it with a modern mid-century style, and turned a small shed on a pebbly beach into a cozy, upcycled haven with a rustic kitchen and dramatic stained glass. My favorite was the garden studio, blending vintage charm with playful touches and reclaimed materials, creating a quirky yet functional space.

STUDIO

Built at the top of the garden in Hastings, this studio was designed to blend with the house, evoking a vintage cricket pavilion or scout hut. Upcycled materials and Crittall windows give it vintage charm.

AVOCA ROAD

A 50-year-old fixer-upper with great bones. The interior was stripped to brick and rebuilt bit by bit, with modern mid-century style, color, light, and space making it truly my own. My biggest project to date.

ST HELENS WOOD

Built in 1923, this house had last been updated in the 1980s. I modernized the interior while preserving its character, with structural work in the kitchen/diner and master bedroom, leaving the house’s original bones intact.

BEACH HUT

Turning a shed on the pebbles into a des-res, I maximised space without clutter. A rustic scaffold board kitchen and an antique stained glass panel added charm and drama.

WARRIOR SQ

Our weekend getaway until we moved permanently to Hastings, this flat had been gutted. I restored period features, opened up the space, and created a larder kitchen as the highlight of the design.
