Brief
This week we were tasked with turning an OSB (Oriented Strand Board) lined shipping container into an office for a young start up company of 4 staff. Having found a stunning 70's lounge unit and some fabulous vintage 70's fabric, I opted for a cool bohemian 1970's style, complete with a bold rainbow stripe travelling along the walls and over the ceiling. My imagined start-up company was a designer-maker selling on-line, so a small workroom and 'Instagram' photo wall at the back made use of all the space. I left a good part of the OSB on show, which helped the 70's stripe to stand out. The desks (upcycled doors) were colour coded, and all set at 45 degrees to ensure no-one had to sit facing a wall. Natural macrame, upcycled food tin planters and plants added a calm vibe, and there was even a retro record player in the central 'break out' space to help you get into the retro mood. Check out my 70's stripe piece from this episode in 'VIDEOS'.
